What is Clean Eating?

Clean eating is a simple concept. Clean eating is about eating whole foods, or "real" foods - those that are un- or minimally processed, refined, and handled, making them as close to their natural form as possible. However, modern food production has become so sophisticated that simply eating whole foods can be a challenging these days.

Eating clean is a good way to refresh your eating habits: it's about eating more of the best and healthiest options in each of the food groups-and eating less of the not-so-healthy ones. That means embracing foods like vegetables, fruits and whole grains, plus healthy proteins and fats.

The soul of clean eating is consuming food in its most natural state, or as close to it as possible.

Eating clean is simply the practice of avoiding processed and refined foods and basing your diet on whole foods. But there's much more to this plan. You can structure your diet to get proper nutrition, help manage diseases, avoid developing diseases in the first place, lose weight, remove toxins, and just feel better.

This is a lifestyle that you're going to sustain from this day forward. Take control of your life, because once you fall off your clean-eating plan, you'll revert back to feeling low in energy, hungry, and irritable multiple times every day.
